WINTER UNIFORM

kittycotten-casual2
So, as the title might suggest -- this is my go-to winter ensemble. Primarily because of its comfort, warmth, and snowability, which isn't a word to most humans, but those posted-up in the Midwest, specially Minnesnowta, understand the word. For all you lucky ones who's parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and so on, chose a snow-free environment to raise their seed, the word simply means -- The ability to deter snow, slush, ice, muck and other cold things during winter weather, while maintaining a proper body temperature. I might be adding my very first word entry to Urban Dictionary after this. Although, I probably wouldn't walk into a snow storm with this ensemble it provides to be a great base for laying under heavy coats, hat, mittens, and scarves. So, maybe this post should have been entitled -- WINTER UNDERWEAR. Apparently I'm in a rambling mood tonight.

Wearing: sweater, J. Crew; shirt, Forever 21 (similar style here); belt, very old from Gap; pants, J. Crew; boots, Urban Outfitters (similar style here)

i lived in ithaca, new york for four years..... understanding how to navigate and maneuver in the snow and slush and chilled winds is a definite art. and knowing how to dress appropriately, while still maintaining a sense of personal style, another art.

I am originally from Iowa, so I understand the snowability! In Southern California there is almost no need for boots at all unless it is a fashion thing. We put on boots with leggings for the look out here. As always, love your style!
