spotted.

Hello again, i've missed you. It seems as though there are just never enough hours in my day to complete everything on my exhaustive to-do list. In the midst of preparing my next collection, updating this blog, redesigning geishapearl.com, & adding Geisha Pearl Pieces (the sister store to GPV filled with gorgeous vintage accessories) i have some amazing news to share with you.

About a month ago the fashion editor of Metro magazine (thanks Mary!) contacted me letting me know my blog had been chosen as the best local outfit blog to visit! After the initial shock, i quickly wrote her back answering the questions she had for me.

1. I picked up my copy yesterday at barnes & noble. I walked in and there is was right next to the counter. Quickly & holding back a huge grin, i plopped two of them in front of the cashier. I wanted to tell her i was buy two because i was in the magazine, but then i just felt weird about it. She probably would have said that's nice & then there would have been no way for me to hold in my bubbling over excitement.

I nearly forgot to swipe my card for them before grabbing them off the counter. I flipped through the pages to see if one of my photos had made it into the spread - vain, i know, but i just couldn't help myself. I almost nearly tripped over my feet skipping back to my car, reading & dialing my boyfriend's number to share the news.

It's funny thing. Last year this time i was struggling trying to figure out what i wanted to be when i grew up. I had actually applied to a couple of positions within Metro magazine, but never received a call. If someone would have told me that following summer i would be featured in the magazine i would have told them to stop lying!

2. Todoestodoblogs was kind enough to feature Geisha Pearl Vintage on their new blog next to the likes of Nasty Girl, FashionToast, Gary Pepper Vintage, Alice Point, FashionChalet & many others that are actually my fashion inspiration! Thank you very much Mirian, you are too sweet.

3. As you might already know, Geisha Pearl Vintage was featured on the Jeffrey Campbell blog about a week ago (the thought still brings a smile to my face). Well, JC loved the photos so much that they actually forwarded them to Lorisshoes.com, which is were i purchased my lovely mary roks from.

Turns out they liked the photos just as much and featured them on their blog too! I was over the moon with excitement to see several of my photos plastered onto their blog, and then i read the little story they wrote! I seriously couldn't stop laughing :) It is one of the cutest articles i have read. If you would like to read the full feature click here.

If you haven't visited Lori's Shoes, you must! They are filled with some of the most amazing shoes, including Jeffrey Campbell, House of Harlow 1960 & Gee WaWa. Here are just a couple of shoes i am currently lusting over that are available right now at lorisshoes.com. Top from left to right: Progetto M251, Jeffrey Campbell, Gee WaWa, Matisse Davis. Bottom: House of Harlow 1960, Jeffrey Campbell, Sam Edelman, Steven Mistaa (aren't these silver ones amazing!).

And last, but not least. I was asked to be a guest blogger for Lori's Shoes Blog. I couldn't be more excited for this. They were actually kind enough to send me a pair of shoes to review & style for their site. The shoes i picked are absolutely amazing, but you will have to stay tune to see them & the outfit post later this week. If everything goes well, i may even become a frequent guest blogger!! eeeh

So that is my big new & very long post. I couldn't be more thrilled to see my dream of Geisha Pearl Vintage popping up across the web & in magazines - it is truly surreal.

The new stock will be available in the first couple days of July - i'm thinking & crossing my fingers for just after the holiday. If you need a quick Geisha Pearl fix, visit our new accessories store // Geisha Pearl Pieces. Here are some of my favorites...
